You can use the outdoor pools available to all families or take advantage of the resort’s private beach area and lay down on the white sand beach! To recharge after all these activities, you can eat at the onsite restaurants serving classics as well as vegan or vegetarian meals! The suites are spacious and have all the amenities you may need, such as air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, an attached bathroom with a tub, and a coffee and tea station!
2. Grand Velas Riviera Maya – enlighten your senses

All the rooms come with marble floors and upscale furniture, but I highly recommend the Camaleon Presidential Suite for big families. This room can host up to 6 guests and comes with a spacious living room, a bathroom with a soaking tub, and an amazing private balcony with a private outdoor pool.
4. Hotel Xcaret Mexico – an out-of-this-world experience
This Playa del Carmen resort has nature as part of its decor! Located on the beachfront but still in the middle of the jungle, you will find yourself walking through the Caribbean’s nature gifts! The resort has a private beach area for all guests, multiple pools, and 11 on-site restaurants. If you are wondering if this resort would be fun for your kids, let me tell you, it comes with a water park!
The rooms are cozy and big, all of them come with a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a coffee machine, and depending on the room you choose, you can get a sea view or a garden view. If you’d like your own spa tub, you are in luck because some of the rooms have a jacuzzi tub, so check it out before booking! P.S. Children ages 0 to 5 can stay for free per paying adult.
5. Andaz Mayakoba – fun for all ages
This resort has everything you and your family need for the best of family vacations! This resort offers all-inclusive packages and comes with 2 outdoor pools and no less but a pool for kids with water games! Of course, the little ones can join the kids club while you rest at the beach or play tennis! If you are into water sports, snorkeling and canoeing are available for guests! The resort has 5 on-site restaurants, and it offers kids menus!
The rooms look like a dream, with amazing views all around, and amazingly clean and fresh decor. There is a flat-screen TV with cable channels, and some of the rooms come with a private terrace with an ocean view!

Would you believe me if I told you this resort has 27 on-site restaurants? Well, start believing because it covers Asian, Italian, and international cuisine, vegan and vegetarian options, and of course, a kids buffet and kid-friendly options! The resort has an outdoor pool, fitness, and yoga classes, and a kids club.
The biggest room is the Two Bedroom – Master Suite which comes with 2 full beds, a king bed, and 2 sofa beds. There is also a terrace with an outdoor tub and 2 bathrooms with rain showers and a whirlpool tub!
7. El Dorado Maroma – ideal for small families
This resort located in Playa del Carmen is ideal for small families, as the biggest rooms can host up to 3 guests. All the rooms are perfect, with amazing views, air conditioning, and a flat-screen TV. Some rooms come with a private pool and a jacuzzi.
This resort has 4 swimming pools open all year and a gorgeous beach just steps away! The fun during the night keeps going with nightly entertainment such as live music and live sports. And to unwind after all the activities, join the spa for a nice treatment!

This is a villa resort, so you will have a lot of privacy if you stay here! Outdoor pools, soaking tubs, outdoor showers, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, you name it, these villas have it! The resort has a policy where children 12 years old and up are welcomed. On another note, this resort is ideal for families of 4 as the biggest rooms can host 4 guests!
12. Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen Resort – modern and classy
What a hip and modern resort to stay with your family and admire the Riviera Maya! Located by the beachfront and with Playa del Carmen beach just steps away, this resort would be perfect for families looking to connect with nature and each other! Whether you want to enjoy the swimming pools or drop off your kids at the kids club while you take a break with your partner, this resort has your back!
I highly recommend the Club Queen Room with Two Queen Beds – Ocean View – it is one of their biggest rooms (hosts 4 people) and comes with a private bathroom, air conditioning, and a balcony with amazing ocean views!
13. Occidental at Xcaret Destination – simple yet classic
This resort was clearly designed to accommodate families! From amazing water activities for kids, such as scuba diving lessons among other kid’s club activities and playrooms, to fun for adults like on-site nightclubs or bars with a disco! On top of this, the resort has seven swimming pools, a spa with a fitness center, and bike rentals!
Check out the deluxe double rooms only designed for families. There are 2 types of them, one which can host 2 adults and 1 child, and the other one can host 2 adults and 2 children. Both rooms come with a balcony, air conditioning, and a flat-screen TV!
14. The Royal Haciendas Resort & Spa – with rustic decor
This resort is an amazing option for families looking for a relaxed rustic ambiance to spend their family holidays! The property comes with several swimming pools, including adults-only pools, kids swimming pools, and a lazy river. There is an indoor playground for children in the facilities of the hotel as well. The adults can enjoy a fabulous spa treatment or relax in Turkish baths.
All the suites come with a private kitchen or kitchenette, a flat-screen TV, and air conditioning, some of the rooms come with an outdoor jacuzzi. Some of the family rooms can host up to 4 people, 2 of them being children who can stay for free in the room.

All the rooms this resort offers are family rooms and can host families of 5! They come with toiletries and amenities for adults and for kids, and a bathtub! Other cool amenities you can find are a flat-screen TV, a mini bar, and free Wi-Fi!
17. Viva Wyndham Azteca – discover the Riviera Maya
Such a colorful and picturesque resort to spend a fantastic holiday with your family! Located by the beachfront, it comes with 2 pools, one suitable for adults and another one for kids. But there is more: the hotel has a kids program as well as a fitness center and spa treatments for adults. All the meals consumed at any of the 4 on-site restaurants are covered by the all-inclusive fee!
