Oh me, oh my! This beautiful boutique hotel comes with everything you need for a perfect relaxing vacation and more! It is located by Miguelitos beachfront, so if you fancy a morning dip before enjoying a delicious breakfast, it is possible! This adults-only resort features a golf course and a steam room to relax after a golf session.
All the rooms at this hotel have an impeccable style and a private pool and outdoor rainfall shower. Some even have a fantastic view of the ocean, while others come with a view of the cenote’s lagoon. Completely stunning!
9. Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya – learn about local culture
Wow! I am completely amazed by this hotel’s style. It is the perfect setup for a relaxing and romantic vacation with your babe! The accommodation offers amazing spa packages you can book with your partner and join together in an afternoon of relaxation. Afterward, you can have an amazing dinner at 4 on-site restaurants.
There are also tours and classes about the local culture available to guests, karaoke facilities, and evening events, so you can have all the fun on the hotel grounds! You can choose between a room with a swim-up pool or one with a private balcony and views of the Caribbean Sea.
10. Paradisus La Perla – secluded yet near the city
Without a doubt, one of the best things about this all-inclusive resort is the amazing location in Luis Donaldo Colosio, which is only a 30-minute walk from the Playa del Carmen downtown area. It’s perfect for those who love the city but also want to take advantage of the hotel’s beachfront location and all the water and beach sports you can practice.
All the rooms come with amenities that will make you feel like a celebrity. With a private pool, bathtubs, and entertainment features like flat-screen TVs with cable channels, guests have everything available. Take advantage of the room service, and have a relaxing bath with a glass of wine. Although this hotel is rated lower than I’d usually recommend, it’s still a great choice, which is why I decided to include it.
11. Platinum Yucatan Princess – fun and stylish
This hotel definitely looks like it is a lot of fun! It is located in Marlyn Azul by the beachfront, and the resort is laid out so you can have all the fun on the property grounds. During the day, you can practice your aim with archery, rent complimentary tennis equipment, and challenge your plus 1 to an exciting tennis match. Alternatively, you can spend all the time you want sunbathing by the pool.
At nighttime, join other guests on the hotel’s dance floor and dance the night away. When you feel tired, you only need to walk back to your room; – that is comfort! I highly suggest staying at the Deluxe Suite Platinum, as it comes with a soaking bath, is spacious, and has a tasteful style. Note that this hotel is rated lower than I’d usually recommend, but I added it considering all the great facilities it offers.
12. Hilton Playa del Carmen – with a central location
If you are looking for a hotel in the middle of Playa del Carmen’s downtown area, with all the main city attractions just steps away, this Hilton resort will blow your mind. It has a paradise beach just in front of your hotel! Besides the unbeatable location, there is a wide range of spa treatments and massages, so you can feel easy-breezy during your stay.
The hotel often hosts themed nights and evening entertainment on-site, so you can have fun and admire live shows after enjoying a nice dinner in any of the 7 on-site restaurants. I highly recommend the suite by the oceanfront with direct access to the beach to enhance the experience.
13. Royal Hideaway Playacar – relax on a private beach
What splendor! This Playacar all-inclusive hotel features the most luxurious style that will make you feel like a royal! An incredible infinity pool on the hotel terrace, located by the beach, overlooks the crystal clear water of the Caribbean Sea and comes with a pool bar. Imagine relaxing with your significant other on a beach cabana or tasting a top-class dinner with movie-like views.
I recommend renting one of the hotel’s complimentary bikes and discovering the area on your own or on bike tours offered to all guests! All the guest rooms are super spacious and come with a private balcony, air conditioning, and a flat-screen TV with cable channels.
This hotel is rated lower than I usually recommend but I added it to extend your options.
14. Ocean Maya Royale – discover San Miguelito
This San Miguelito hotel has an amazing style, the perfect combination of modernity and a traditional Mexican style! There are 5 on-site restaurants in the hotel, offering from local cuisine to Italian or Japanese, so if you have cravings, that is okay, the resort has you covered! After spending the day relaxing in the outdoor pools or indulging in spa treatments, join a movie night or a nightly event!
All the rooms can host from 2 to up to 3 guests and come with a cute blue color theme, showing in the decorations and bathroom tiles. They come with a private balcony, too, and some of them with a garden or ocean view. This hotel is rated lower than I’d normally recommend, but I still think it’s a great option.
15. Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen – modern and colorful
Another astonishing Playa del Carmen downtown hotel, this one has a cool and modern vibe. Some of the areas have a lot of luxurious elements, and others exude a traditional fun style, which makes it just perfect! The outdoor swimming pool has a fantastic view of the beach and cute cabanas where you can lie down and watch the days go by without a worry in your mind!
This property features some rooms with enough space for 4 guests, so if you are planning a vacation with friends, these rooms are ideal for you! The Junior Suite 2 Queen Beds comes with a private balcony and scenic views of the ocean! This hotel is rated lower than I’d normally recommend, but I added it to extend your options.
16. The Yucatan Resort – cool by the beachfront
Oh my God! I am in love with this hotel! The vibe is just perfect; it looks young and playful, with an elegant touch. There are a lot of stone and marble elements with wooden furniture in the decoration, and it gives the hotel a wholesome touch. The 3 on-site restaurants feature up-scale dining, which will make you feel like you are eating in heaven.
The hotel has a wonderful roof terrace where you can simply relax or use the refreshing swimming pool. The Superior King Suite is huge and offers a big balcony with furniture, a spacious open-concept bedroom with a living room, and a private bathroom with a rainfall shower. This hotel is rated lower than I’d usually recommend, but I added it for the great amenities.
17. The Reef 28 – for the party people
If you are traveling to Playa del Carmen for the mere purpose of having a lot of fun with your special someone or your friends while enjoying paradise views, this hotel is calling your name very loud! The hotel is in the city center of Playa del Carmen, so you are just steps away from the property and amazing restaurants and bars. Still, if you want to stay in the hotel, you can enjoy the 3 on-site restaurants and on-site bar!
If you love dancing, the hotel will keep you moving with their nightclub events with DJs, so order a fruity drink and dance with other travelers! I recommend the Deluxe Suite to friends and couples. This suite’s style is impeccable and comes with an in-room spa bath. Note that although this hotel is rated lower than 8.5, it’s still a good pick.
