Located a 20 min walk away from the Old City, this area is great for people who are looking to take some day trips by train or who are stopping in Bristol for a night or 2 on their way to another city in the country.

That’s because the train station (map) is set here so you’ll have easy access to it.

Bristol Temple Meads is one of Britain’s oldest and largest train stations, and it was first opened in 1840. Its name has an interesting story: it comes from the Knights Templar, who built the Temple Church nearby.

Although the Temple Church (map) was bombed during WWII, you can still visit the ruins and I’d recommend you do since they look pretty spectacular.

You’ll also find some bars here and even a club called the Loco Klub (map) where you can have some fun after a day of exploring around.
