Hi, I’m Kathryn. 

I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, but grew up in Reading in the UK before moving back to Johannesburg to be closer to family. I studied graphic design but my passion for books and words led me to study publishing and work in writing. 

I love seeing new places and have an endless travel bucket list. My top things to do while traveling are trying out new aerial and yoga studios, seeing my favorite bands perform live, visiting amusement parks and scouring the area for alternative shops, bookstores, street art and hidden gems. 

I’m passionate about mental health and even have my own mental health blog, art of anxiety, where I share stories and tips about living with anxiety. 

I’m also a qualified yin, restorative and aerial yoga teacher (you can learn more about that here). You can check out my yoga travel adventures on my instagram @omkatasana.

When not making travel plans, you’ll either find me with my head buried in a book while cuddled up with my 2 cats, writing or hanging upside down in an aerial hammock.
