Hi everyone, it’s Darija!

I’m from Serbia, but life has shaped me into a citizen of the world. I have lived in Indiana (US) and Russia for one year, and have been based in Tel Aviv, Israel, for 2 years now. During my uni studies of French language and literature, I spent my summers and parts of semesters in various cities in France from Provence to Paris, and then lived in Paris for four months.

Over the course of the years, I visited more than 30 countries, mostly in Europe and Middle East. I specialize in destinations and cultural things in Israel/Palestine (although I also love writing about Serbia, Russia, and France) and have started a hobby Instagram page (Middle Eastern Stories) where I share fun stuff from my stay in the region!

Apart from travel, another big passion in my life is talking about language acquisition and helping people find the right techniques/resources that match their current skills! I can speak 7 languages (Serbian, English, Russian, French, Spanish, Greek, Arabic) and I also write about language learning, but this is the only blog where I didn’t ghostwrite.

I also love cooking (mostly meals that remind me of home, but I’m actively mastering the art of spices too), reading (non-fiction, history, classics), and working out.
