Key Largo is the largest island of the Florida Keys. It’s also the Northernmost island and the one closest to Miami (66 mi / 106 km), connected by the Overseas Highway. 

The island is essentially divided into 3 parts:

  • North Key largo – the Northernmost part of the island
  • Key Largo (mid-island) – the Key Largo community makes up the central part of the island, bordered by North Key Largo to the North and Tavernier to the Southwest.
  • South End – the Southernmost part of the island, including the town of Tavernier
