Switzerland may be best known for its Alps, but cities like Zurich are capable of making just as big an impression on visitors. Zurich is the largest city in the mountain country and also an incredibly wealthy one thanks to the local banking and finance industry.
All that money means that places like the historical Altstadt of Zurich are wonderfully preserved and a delight to wander about. Views from the Lindenhof show off Zurich’s pretty cityscape, while you can spy snow-capped mountains in the distance the shores of Lake Zurich.
