Cool Colorado
Colorado, the land of the Rocky Mountains, is a stunningly beautiful state in the American southwest. While it is largely famous for having some of the best ski resorts in the country, the state is also a popular summer destination for hikers, cyclists and other outdoor enthusiasts.
Colorado is known as the “Centennial State,” because it became a state in 1876. It is also known for having a high altitude, with most locations ranging between 4,000 and 12,000 feet (1,200 and 3,600 m). Not surprisingly, the scenery is spectacular!
