New York is an amazing city! It does not matter how many times you come back, you will always find something new to discover.
Here are my recommended hotels in the Manhattan Midtown area around some famous landmarks:
1. Times square
I remember the first time I visited New York: I booked a hotel on Broadway, and I thought I would be staying in the heart of the city, in walking distance to everything. How naïve of me!
Broadway is really long, and I had to walk a very long distance to reach the desired center. But don’t worry, this is not the case with Millennium Broadway Hotel – Times Square. It is located exactly where you are imagining – in front of all the famous theatres. Millenium is a large hotel decorated in an Asian deco style. The rates are one of the best considering the location and the outstanding service provided by the Millenium Broadway Hotel crew.
2. Union Square
If you are not a fan of big chain hotels, I might have something for you as well!
W New York – Union Square is a small boutique hotel with just 9 rooms, each of them decorated and even named differently. The smallest room is just 270 ft2 and the biggest is 900 ft2.
Located between Union Square and Madison Square Park, it makes W NYC a perfect located hotel for both business travelers and tourists alike.
3. Central Park
Have you ever imagined yourself waking up and going to Central Park for a jog?
If the idea sounds appealing, consider checking in the Wellington Hotel. It is located on the 7th Ave and W 56th St. intersection, just 3 blocks away from the South entrance to Central Park.
The different room configurations will satisfy all tastes. There are a couple of great quality restaurants in the hotel, so you won’t even need to search for a nice place to eat!
4. Empire State Building
Manhattan NYC-an Affinia hotel is located on the 7th Ave and W 31st street intersection, just two blocks away from the Empire State Building. Don’t miss it! The view there during the sunset is just breathtaking! Buy tickets here. Madison Square Garden is a stones throw away as well.
Affina hotel is perfect for families, as it has not only a kids’ menu, but also provides guests with childcare services. Thus, you can go discover the city or just relax for a while without worrying about your children’s safety.
5. Bryant Park
Hotel St. James will fit you great if you are searching for a basic budget hotel in the heart of Big Apple.
The hotel is located three minutes walking distance from Times Square and even closer to Bryant park. Bryant park is a cute little park that takes exactly one block of space. Don’t miss the free Broadway shows every Monday during the summer time or free open air movie theatre. It is a lot of fun!
Conclusion: Wherever you stay in Manhattan you will always find plenty of things to do. Anything you need, such as a supermarket or a pharmacy will be no more than two blocks away. Here in this post I recommended some of the great boutique hotels according to the landmarks they are located the closest to.
Choose the one that you like and enjoy your stay in this one-of-a-kind city!
