We stayed at the MinatoMirai which is walking distance to most of the attractions like the pier district, museums and Chinatown. Totally different from Tokyo, much more relaxed and the pier district was wonderful! There was also a yummy anchovy based ramen near the Yokohama Station .... can't remember what it was but it was yummy! So many attractions and interesting places to explore. Yokohama is a city brimming with interesting places to visit, delicious food to sample, and history to learn. Not only that, but I’ve spent a lot of time in Japan, and no where else did I find such friendly people! My favorite bite was at Central Burger off the Ishikawacho stop. They serve an amazing American style smash burger that they’ve made completely their own. I had to leave the states to find a burger THAT GOOD. I was sorry to leave this great city.

A must see city during trip to Japan, esp when Gundam is still there. It's near Tokyo. The city is quite peaceful. You could walk around the seaside. Not to crowded. The pedestrian walk is huge. Yokohama is beautiful.
Yokohama is beautiful. Just do go there and enjoy the place, food, people and the sea. In addition, there is an ice rink in winter. The Washington Hotel is a great place to stay and there are plenty of restaurants and in the hotel complex and in the surrounding area. The Washington hotel is one stop past JR Yokohama station. It can be confusing but worth the trip. Or you can walk. It is a long walk so better to take the train.MarkAustralia - 10Scored 10

If you are a car guy, not only visit Nissan Global HQ but also go further to the Nissan engine museum which is basically the old building of their Yokohama factory, few people know this place but the collection of their legendary engines and heritage is worth a visitKrirkchaiThailand

The room was huge (considering the average size of rooms in Japan) and clean. A special thanks to the cleaning staff for always keeping the rooms nice and clean. The hotel is not too far away from Yokohama Station, though it might be a bit exausting to get there, especially after a long flight. Overall a great experience. That is the reason I chose to stay at this hotel mainly. Front desk people are non Japanese but they are excellent, fluent Japanese speakers and polite. I had a premium room with big bed and Harbor view it was enjoyable room. They had electric pot and tea and coffee. That was nice. I liked the bed, bedding is super comfortable!!
