At out first arrival we were left at a car park just outside the Old City Walls and the taxi driver called the Riad and a member of staff came to greet us and take our luggage to the Riad. it was only a few minutes walk and the route was easy to follow. We were welcomed with peppermint tea and local cookies in the beautiful plant filled courtyard. We were given information about how to walk to the main square and which are good restaurants. It was easy to find a taxi at the car park close by so if we needed to go somewhere outside the Walls it was convenient. The breakfast was delicious. We loved the home made breads and pancakes to eat with local honey. The yoghurt was very good as was the coffee. All served with freshly squeezed orange juice, something you no longer have in some European hotels

The Riad OMRI is an architectural work which was thought and designed as a treasure chest containing the jewels of the ancestral Moroccan hand-crafted know-how. The best artisans, carpenters, plasterers, tadelakeurs, ironworkers, sculptors etc. … were asked during more than five years of construction to put all their passion into a goal even nobler than the building of the riad itself : highlighting the treasures of Moroccan craft heritage. Because it was a building work and not a renovation, it has been possible to combine modernity (technical isolation of the building, central heating comfort, earthquake standards) and tradition (corridors lined with arabo-andalusian columns and arches, vaults of sharp edges, secular ironwork, profusion of carved cedar wood, chiseled zelliges and other stucco) as desired.
