Great location. It is in a walking distance for park. Onsen is nice and not so crowded. Staff was very nice and very polite. Dinner was so good.

All the staff was very welcoming, nice and informative. We arrived earlier than check in time but was able to store our luggage at the hotel. While doing that the staff provided some activity/food recommendations in the area. Facility was very nice and clean.

The English -speaking staff were exceedingly helpful especially Ziggy who advised us about the hotel amenities, about a special seasonal event in the town, about meal and onsen scheduling, and mostly welcomed us and made us feel very much at home. The staff was excellent and kind! For example, we asked one gentleman to book a taxi for us to Otaru. He said it would take 40-50 minutes for the taxi to arrive so we told him we would use the time to go outside and take some pictures. We then left our luggage with him at the front desk and went outside to enjoy the beautiful morning. 40 minutes later, we rushed back to see our taxi waiting for us in front of the hotel. As we went inside to collect our luggage, the front desk gentleman informed us that he had already taken the liberty to load our extremely heavy luggage into the taxi! Unbelievable service and kindness! The one restaurant we went to (K) was delicious and worthwhile. We didn't go to the other ones that were extra charge but we were extremely satisfied with the dinner and breakfast provided!

amazing amenities with plenty of extras included in price - free private onsen reservation, free (if limited) open bar and dessert bar. all meals included as typical of many ryokans - but the food was also exceptional. rooms were spotlessly clean, and staff was exceedingly accommodating (even if many did not speak great English)
