THE GARDENS AND MONET'S WERE WONDERFUL. A VIDEO PLAING IN THE GIFT SHOP PROVIDED AN INDEPTH OVERVIEW OF MONET'S LIFE. EXCELLENT. LUNCH AT THE MUSEUM RESTAURANT WAS EXCELLENT. A DAY'S VISIT TO GIVERNY PROVIDED A PEACEFUL AND BEAUTIFUL RESPITE. LOVED ALL OF IT.

This centre was lacking in the overall character of a village. The gardens were the focus. But there was very little opportunity to enjoy the village separate to the gardens as there were no shops to buy local cheese, yes there is a bakery but no partisse. It had character but no sole.

We loved the gardens and house although very busy.
We loved the gardens and house although very busy. Glad we chose the earlier booking option as by the time we left it was mobbed. If we had longer we would have gone to the museum too, however, we were en route south and needed to get going.
Like it even better once we left the pre booked disgusting Les Rouges Gorges and paid for another stay at the idyllic La Dime.

Giverny is quiet and beautiful. Completely walkable. Try to stay in town for the best experience, but note that there are only a few restaurants open after 6 p.m. We missed out on the combination ticket for Monet's Gardens and the Impressionist Museum, but both were worth the full price, so we didn't mind. There are a few lovely little shops as well, 2 which support the Monet Gardens. And a highlight for me personally was a sweet, older local man who offered me a fresh fig from his garden, and peeled it for me. Delightful!

Giverny is a lovely small village.
Giverny is a lovely small village. The flowers and upkeep of the beautiful homes was inspirational. Many restaurants (with outside tables), Loved walking through Monet's garden and touring his home. We booked a private tour and this was especially enjoyed. Everything is within walking distance.

Giverny was worth arriving the night before, to see the village without the visitors who come to see Monet's House and Garden. A very pretty and quiet village with a lovely old hotel in the middle with a garden for outdoor eating
I'm aware in writing this that everyone's taste is not the same. This is a lovely rustic French garden and collection of buildings. The room had a basic kitchen, shower room, two comfy single beds and a lovely setting in the peace and quiet of Giverny. Nearby are places to get an evening meal or lunch .. the price of our room included breakfast, which was a fresh baguette and two croissants hung on the door handle in a cotton bag.
The place is incredibly original (if I was a creative, I would certainly go in Exil to create here). The location is perfect to explore Giverny. The owner is incredibly kind and accommodating and things are just very well thought-through: there is an umbrella next to the door, some food if you would like to feed the fishes in the big aquarium. Nothing to complain about really and it is a real gem for staying over.
The location was excellent- we were able to walk to Monet’s gardens, a restaurant, bakery. Room was spacious and comfortable, if the weather had been a bit warmer we could have sat outside on the terrace and enjoyed the garden. Host was wonderful as was breakfast. We were able to buy tickets for Monet’s house and garden from the host, and not have to ore/book online or stand in a queue
The apartment was in a stunning old french house on the main road of Rue de Claud Monet . In the centre of all Giverny has to offer. Lovely shower. Huge light rooms . Lovely view of outside garden and terrace. Garden furniture provided. Kettle, toaster, coffee machine. Washing machine, fridge, cooker, microwave.
The ladies running Au Bon Maréchal are delightful and offer a relaxing, friendly and comfortable stay right in the middle of Giverny. It's a beautiful old property with narrow stairs to the guest rooms, but mine was spacious with a little balcony and a comfortable seating area. The breakfast was also excellent.
Cosy and elegant boutique hotel 15 minutes from the Monet house. This is a perfect place for a night's stay in the countryside. We stayed in a bigger room, and it was well worth it. The smaller rooms though do not have the same value for money.
The property ideally located to walk everywhere in village of Giverny was 5 star service and comfort. Warm welcome by host in updated guest apartment surrounded by a lovely garden and private gated entry with parking.
Best location in Giverny and right next door to Monet's gardens and house 3 doors down the road. Nice aspect and the Manager, Benjamin; could not have been more hospitable!
Beautiful tranquil place in the beautiful tranquil village of Giverny. Lovely welcome by very nice owners. Spotlessly clean. Perfectly placed for the Fondation Monet.
This hotel is in a great location for visiting Giverney, Monet’s gardens, the museum and the beautiful village itself.
The bed and bedding are very, very comfortable!
The location was excellent, 5 minute walk from Monet's house. The village of Giverny is beautiful. Good eating places and cafes.
The b& b had a great garden itself.
Comfotable and spacious room surrounded by a wonderful garden in lovely Giverny. Extremely friendly hostess. good breakfast. Very much recommended. Thank you
