Great little town. Wonderful restaurants. Grocery store, if you're shopping for yourself. I loved Cafe Beaujolais. I enjoyed Macallan. These are upscale. I had wonderful cioppino at Flow. Lots of trails nearby. Mendocino Headlands and other state parks.

Loved this little piece of Heaven tucked into the gorgeous California coast. Small town ...but it has heart. lots of old character homes and heritage buildings. Don't forget to check out the pubs ..super friendly staff and yummy foods and local beers. The bakery is a must if you're looking to expand your waist line. Really enjoyed this little town...captured the essence of that coastal feeling.

Mendocino is authentic and picturesque.
Mendocino is authentic and picturesque. It is very small and you can easily walk through the whole town in an hour! The shops are cute and there are many beautiful items to choose from if you like shopping. The people are warm and friendly. It is extremely foggy in the morning until about 10 AM and it rolls back in around 4 or 5 PM.

Nice quaint little town of a few shops and restaurants...
Nice quaint little town of a few shops and restaurants period. Don't get confused but the glass beach is not what it was 30 and 40 years ago, In fact most maps don't even list glass beaches anymore and the one North at Fort Bragg is very limited in glass. Too many people took glass home over the years and time/nature led to the ending of glass beaches. Also the practice of dumping garbage and glass bottles in the ocean is not Environmentally friendly.

Location is excellent for exploring area.
Location is excellent for exploring area. Many shops and art galleries to enjoy. Not too crowded during the week.
Fort Bragg and the botanical are close by.
Restaurants are crowded. Pattersons Bar has great food and a friendly atmosphere.
The staff was super helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and newly renovated. Super pet friendly. They even had a little welcome kit for my pups. Beds were plush and comfortable. Loved the bungalow feel. They had a little campfire area and had stuff for s’mores in the office. Outside seating areas for picnics and sitting. Didn’t feel like I was staying in a hotel. You can tell they put a lot of love and effort into it. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and found myself spending more time in the room because it was so comfortable.
The Blue Door Inns
Good bed, bad breakfast.
The Blue Door Inns occupies two or more old Victorian Houses centrally located in Mendocino. We stayed at room number six on the second floor of the house at Ukiah Street.
The room was very nice. Windows on the two walls facing the coast gave us a sweeping view of the ocean beyond the roofs of the buildings of the city. The gas fireplace provided a cozy atmosphere, and the bed was soft and comfortable.
we were in room 105 on the lower floor in the back block of rooms. The room has two Queen beds and was quite comfortable, clean and well kept. The cost was very good for this area, especially as we stayed on a Friday night when rates usually jump. The property is a short walk or drive to downtown Mendocino, and a bit longer walk or drive to the Mendocino Headlands for beautiful Ocean views.
Very comfortable, with a total of 11 rooms at the inn, it felt very relaxing and like being at home. The morning breakfast was excellent and the light meal during the wine hour was perfect. Everyone of the staff had a great attitude and were helpful and warm. The Inn is a little gem just south of the town of Mendocino.
It was very convenient. It is not in the narrow congested streets in the middle of the village. It is on the main east/west road at the south side of town. Very convenient to everything. The room was small but adequate and the best price available compared to other central hotel rooms.
Brewery Gulch Inn is by far the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The communication prior, the level of professionalism, the comfort, and especially the FOOD are all AMAZING. We can't say enough good things about this inn. A truly magical experience.
The location was perfect for walking around Mendocino. Our room was nicely decorated and the bed was comfy. Breakfasts were ample and yummy: Main course, fruit, rolls, juice and coffee/tea, delivered to your room. Fresh-baked cookies in the afternoon.
Great hotel location in town. Reasonable room rate. Quiet property. Shared balcony/walkway was more private than it sounds. Nice French door in room added much needed light. The parts of the lobby that were open were attractive.
Ocean view! Fantastic breakfast every morning. Great location with lots of State Parks surrounding the area. Mendocino is a beautiful little town and you're still just 15 minutes out from Fort Bragg for additional options!
Booking.com needs to refund on their portion of of credit. The hotel already credited their portion. Due to your false my advertisement of ocean view. If you guys do no t then my credit card will deal with you people.
Greatest customer service I’ve received in awhile. Staff went above and beyond and was so accommodating and friendly.
Facility decor was super chill and updated. By far one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in.
The cottage was very spacious for our family of four, the location is perfect for visiting Mendocino area and you are in the middle of the little town, you have lot of shops, cafe and restaurants nearby.
Beautiful campground that was close to ocean and town of Mendocino. Accommodations were excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Families with children had their own section, so evenings were very quiet.
Beautiful old historic hotel. It needs some love in the form of updating carpeting, curtains, shower doors, etc. I look forward to the renovation of their restaurant and bar. ❤️🌲🍷 Nice staff!
Located downtown Mendocino. Ideal to explore the city and the headlands. Owner and personnel very welcoming. Breakfast is very good. During our first stay, we decided to book our next :)
A quirky little place which seems to fit in with the rest of Mendocino, a charming village.
Breakfast was freshly baked muffins delivered to your door in the morning, a lovely touch.
Beautiful grounds, peaceful area, only 7 minutes drive to Mendocino, bottle of wine and a note in our room on arrival was a lovely touch, super quick and easy check in and out!
The breakfast which was served in our room, was lovely. The location is great, within walking distance of anything in Mendocino. We would definitely stay there again.
