Our room was perfect for an overnight in Hood River. Comfortable bed, beautifully furnished and designed. I liked that it was funky, not in a bad way, but a FUN way. The central lobby was welcoming and hosted a diverse crowd of travelers.

Unknown, to me, there was a big convention Iin town, so the hotel prices were jacked up, almost double, than it should have been.
Besides that, Hood River was great.
Bend, Oregon, I prefer over Hood River.

Beautiful views of the Columbia River Gorge!
Beautiful views of the Columbia River Gorge! Worth a trip across the bridge to White Salmon, Washington which is the Supernatural Capital of the Pacific Northwest! You can drive west along the river to cross back at the Bridge of the Gods where Charles Lindbergh flew his plane below the bridge. Fun to see the amphibious biplane at the harbor and the salmon fishing. Mount Hood and vineyards nearby. Loved Grateful Vineyard about 20 minutes out of town, with orchards and vines and great pizza with a view of Mount Hood. The Stone Hedge Garden restaurant has beautiful outdoor gardens, a historic house setting and delicious food. We drove all the way back from Portland to dine there a second time on the last night of our trip. We are seasoned travelers and loved this place.

Hood River is an old town and in the past few years has become known for kiteboarding, wind-sailing, etc. There are lots of pubs and breweries. There are hiking trails, vineyards, wineries, lavender fields, and orchards all within a few miles. Downtown has many shops to visit. Many places are dog friendly.

We stayed one night to go fishing at Drano Lake the next day. The room isn't anything special with the usual amenities with nice comfortable beds. I do not recommend staying with children as the walls are quite thin and you can hear everything. Customer service is not existent with mediocre check-in process.

Hood River is an amazing town on the Columbia River.
Hood River is an amazing town on the Columbia River. I was only there overnight but in that stay I had a great dinner at Cilelo, a great hike at Cayote Wall on the Washington state side of the river, and a good rest at the Inn at the Gorge. I can’t wait to come back and spend more time here!
The owner and host of Inn at the Gorge, Michael, was very friendly and personable. We started off our morning with coffee and a delicious breakfast, and Michael shared sights for us to explore, as well as nearby restaurants. He told us about a hike to a waterfall across the Columbia River that was fabulous. We enjoyed staying at the inn, and with only 6 rooms, it had a cozy feel. There was a lovely front porch, and the location in Hood River, Oregon was perfect. It was a wonderful place to stay, and a beautiful city to visit.
Wow. Can't say enough about the staff here. I made the reservation with Booking.com (BIG mistake!) and it was listed as "and xxx" as my last name. Diligent searching found my pre-paid reservation. Whew! GREAT location and amazing view of the river. We're minutes from downtown Hood River and right on the roads to everywhere. Don't skip the restaurant. Just enjoyed a cured egg yolk shaved on top of my egg white omelet and avocado toast!
Very clean and affordable. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Great location! There is a walking path directly from the hotel to the shops in downtown Hood River so you can leave your car at the hotel and not worry about finding parking. Super convenient.
the location and the very good staff. Michael the owner cooked a fantastic breakfast for us with everything you could want, all included in price. he also recommended things to do while we were in Hood river.
Really love this Hotel Had been there for a wedding in 1988! And stayed there then, so when visiting Hood River for an art show, I wanted to stay there again. It is such a beautiful setting!
Super nice room and modern, comfortable. We had a unit with a little fireplace and a great view of the river. The garden and waterfall next door at the Columbia Gorge Hotel is beautiful
The location was spectacular! The grounds were so beautiful to walk in and the feeling in the hotel was so welcoming and warm. Recent upgrades have made the rooms modern and comfortable.
Room clean and large. Nice back patio. Plenty of towels. Questions on hood restaurants - gave us many choices. Although hotel is little old it was extremely clean, quiet and safe.
Property was clean, the view was amazing and parking was perfect. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Room was large with all the amenities. A short drive to downtown Hood River.
Hotel staff was super friendly and helpful. Dog friendly which was great.
Convenient to town...we walked but most probably would drive. Room was clean and comfortable.
I liked the cleanliness and Covid protection policies in place.
Facilities are top notch! Breakfast is better than all limited service hotels I have experienced.
