homely and friendly staff. lovely couple to be exact. I never regretted the long journey to reach this place. they made the stay feel so much like we are a respectable guest. I love their service and definitely their cooking. it’s a japanese fusion French cooking if my memory never failed me. playing of food was amazing, never forget their serving was huge and filling. this will definitely be on the go to hotel list. it was my marriage anniversary and they made it pleasantly memorable. once again thankyou to the couple staff and the part time staff. I’m sorry I could just give a pair of black volcanic egg to them. but the egg represent extra 7 years of life when eaten. it’s a really small token and I was embarrassed but they still took it and appreciated it. thank you again.

The staff were very welcoming and accomodating and made us feel very much at home. The breakfast was excellent. Two different ones for the two days we stayed there. The dinner we had on our last night was sublime. A five course treat, each course beautifully presented, generously sized and utterly delicious and served with joy and pride.

The outstanding feature of this sweet property is the married couple who are just such lovely people. Suzuki is an AMAZING chef and the meals we had were amongst the best food we had during our month in Japan. The property is just the right size to make it cosy and intimate. Our room was on the top floor looking down over the lake. It was most appreciated that Suzuki carried our bags up when we arrived. the property is beautifully located close to everything but away from any crowds

The owner and chef were amazing! Could not have felt more welcomed. We had dinner both nights and was easily the best food we had on the whole trip. The room was large with a lovely balcony over looking the mountains. The location was right next to the lake. We had a little welcome snack and drink on arrival. They cleaned the room daily and bed was super comfy. They had the fire going well we were there which made it so cozy and welcoming. We would travel back to Japan just to say here again and eat the food.

Very friendly and helpful staff! They welcomed us with some delicious homemade sweets and a drink of our choice. Relaxing music when we entered our room. Access to face masks and skincare, and bathtub was also very relaxing. Outstanding breakfast, the best we had on our 2,5 week long trip.
