Os jardins do palácio são incríveis!! As pinturas, esculturas, tudo muito lindo, o app do áudio guide precisa estar instalado, faz total diferença! Pontos baixos: poucos banheiros e pouco espaço para movimentação nos quartos do palácio.

Getting the tickets was easy; my issue wasn't with the tickets but the venue. I was expecting the palace at Versaille to be a PALACE (hint: a museum of how the original inhabitants, aka the royals, lived). But it's been turned into yet another art museum. They turned all the original apartments and housing areas into emplty rooms with art on the walls. No furniture. No belongings of the royal family. Not what I expected. (But the gardens were lovely).

We just loved the whole story behind the exhibits, and learning about the impresionists, the academics and their development. We spent several hours at the place, but we had a purpose! we studied what where the most important and interesting exhibits and had a plan. Headout helped us get the tickets in advanced and make it faster and easier to get there.

The Orsay Museum

Established in 1986, the Orsay Museum is one of the newest museums in Paris but also one of the most important. It is an institution that houses paintings from one of the most influential periods of French Art - the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist eras of the late 19th Century. At the Orsay Museum, you will not only see famous paintings but also have the chance to catch sweeping views of Paris from its top floor. Admire here masterpieces from artists such as Paul Cezanne, Frederic Bazille, Edgar Degas, Edouard Manet, Claude Monet, Auguste Renoir, and Alfred Sisley. The exhibitions are arranged in a chronological manner, with early 19th century sculptures and classical paintings on the ground floor, leading up to the Impressionist paintings on the second and top floor. Most of the highlights of the Orsay Museum are on the top floor.
