It was adorable, comfortable and close to the old town square. Sitting Space and small kitchenette. Minutes to 100s of restaurants and shops. Grocery store and laundry around the corner.

Brilliant location, Bruges isn't massive anyway but it was close enough without being plagued by loudness. Hosts were incredibly lovely and accomodating, doing everything they could to make our stay the best. Comfy big bed, lots of little extras...

Great communication before arriving by the host. This is a large ensuite loft room with microwave, fridge, cultery, coffee, tea and welcome waffles. Shame the hot plates don't work as that restricts food choices if you choose to cook in. Shared...

Chantal & Rob
With Renoir Canals, pointy gilded architecture and stay-awhile cafés, Brugge is a joy. Where else can you bike along a canal, munch mussels, drink fine monk-made beer, see a Michelangelo and savor heavenly chocolate, all within 300 yards of a bell tower that rings out "Don't worry be happy" jingles? And there is almost no language barrier. Rediscovered by modern-day tourists, Brugge thrives. This uniquely well preserved Gothic city is no secret. But even with crowds, it's the kind of city where you don't mind being a tourist. Rick Steve's Europe. The Brugge's House of Friends offers an elegant romantic room under the stars with private bathroom. You will love the beautiful feeling of the unique hide-away that makes you part of this medieval city.
Chantal & Robert make part of a Belgian - Australian family known for hosting travelers from all over the world for many years now. They are available for you if you need them with local suggestions for musea, art venues, live music, favorite restaurants and great breakfasts. Coffee (Nespresso) and a selection of teas makes it easy to enjoy a lay-in, or quickly run to the bakeries at the other side of the Astridpark to get some lovely pastries… But also respect guests if they just want to get away from the hustle and bustle...
The Brugge's House of Friends is just behind the Burg and Market Square next to the Astridpark. The most photographed site in Brugge, the amazing Rozenhoedkaai with it's weeping willow, is just around the corner. You just need to pass by the Vismarkt. Once you've passed there just continue for the Dyver with the world famous Gruuthuse en Groeninghe museum. At the end of the Dyver Our Lady's church with the Statue of Michelangelo. Continue to Sint-Janshospitaal and the intimate Begijnhof. Local breweries (Brugse Zot) and some great chocolate workshops & museum to help you survive all this Art-touring. Boat tours on the canals (Reien) are also an option even Highly recommended! Robert and Chantal will be happy to host you in their private homestay guesthouse.
