Hum is a great spot to base yourself to explore the Istrian peninsula, give yourself time. Hum is a fascinating little town - two streets, two churches, one with 13 century frescos. Humska konoba is a great spot to eat, delicious food, hearty servings and a wonderful view.

I hope Hum can be as authentic as it is now.
I hope Hum can be as authentic as it is now. There is only 1 restaurant, with people in it, who are so passionate about the food they can bring. It is not what we Belgians are used to eat, but it is the old Istrian cuisine. Here we got what we were looking for! it was just amazing simplicity! LOVE IT

I stayed there for 5 days, and it was a big mistake.
I stayed there for 5 days, and it was a big mistake. There are no buses to take you around and in July the weather was too hot for a 6 km walk (one way). In the village itself, there is nothing to do other than visiting the souvenir shops and eating local meat at the only one tavern while enjoying the beautiful views. Perhaps it's a good place for a half-day visit.
