    The best hostal in Tayrona!!!

The best hostal in Tayrona!!! Great small cozy and confortable hostal in the middle of the nature with great views. The room was spacious with a great bed and a private bathroom, great view to the mountains and quiet in the night. I will definitely be back soon. Delicious coffee and pancakes for breakfast. Its 8 minutes walking from the road and 15 minutes walking to the beach los cocos.

Proximity to Tayrona really good - El Zaino entrance and walks. Other destinations a longer taxi ride (such as Minca) but all manageable. Property itself is lovely. Immaculate, spacious and a very good food offering. Delightful service. Nice pool and lots of space around to take in diffract views. Only negative is the weak shower pressure (cabana 1). Easy drop down to beach and sea - and very atmospheric bar for sundowners. Pretty much perfect

Liked: Came here in October 2021 and returned mainly because the place is absolutely beautiful. The view is stunning, you're in the middle of nature and wherever you look there are amazing birds or giant trees. Disliked: During our five day stay, the water was cut three times and electricity went out twice (this didn't happen last year). Also, almost every night a noisy water leakage would start under the cabin and the last night there was a hydraulic motor-bomb malfunction nearby, very noisy as well. Every time I called the administration and they responded in good will, sometimes being able to help and sometimes not. But these issues are clearly the result of long-term poor management, and there is only so much the on-site staff can do. Also, the hotel sells the idea of being able to offer good wi-fi: nothing could be further from the truth. Wi-fi is extremely unstable. You can go hours, even days without connection. So this is not a good place to go if you require a stable internet signal. I went with the idea of working remotely and had a negative experience in that department. This said, it wasn't a horrible couple of days, but I'll be looking elsewhere for my next trip.

Los Naranjos is a great place of you want to visit the nearby Tayrona National Park. The main park entrance is just 3 km away. The area of the hotels is within a private property with access to private beaches and the Playa de los Angeles.

Los naranjos is a huge place where the jungle merge with the beach, divided by a river that can be crossed wslking when the tide is low, aligators are the puppies of the area and althought they look dangerous they only like to take a sunbath, they are afraid of humans, but dont test this, keep away from them and enjoy, the beach have different walking access, explore them all.

    This was a mixed bag.

This was a mixed bag. On the upside, the restaurant was really fantastic and the view from the deck chairs, overlooking the beach, was just stunning. The room was clean and the restaurant staff were friendly. That said, the photographs of the rooms are misleading, as the rooms are actually really really dark, with just a few dim lamps providing a little bit of light. The “sea view” from the room that is pictured in the snaps is also not really anything. You can barely see the water. When we told the front desk staff that this was not what they were advertising, they said they would "be back to discuss" and then never showed up. Since it was only one night, we decided to just stick it out. Also, at this price, it seems like the hotel could have hot water in the showers. Oh, and our room was next to the kitchen so we were woken up early with noise from the staff, blender, etc.

I wanted a few relaxing days and that’s exactly what I had at Casa Tayrona. The location and hotel are exactly like the photos. It’s beautiful and so lovely to be so near the sea (even if it is too dangerous to swim there but the pool is great.) Juan David and his team looked after me so well, especially Angela, Dianis and Laura. I’m vegetarian and this was one of the best places I ate during my travels in Colombia. They also arranged taxis to/from Santa Marta. It’s a small hotel so it’s quiet. Perfect to chill out.

This hotel exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment I booked to the day I left, everything was executed flawlessly. The hotel staff coordinated my pickup in Cartagena (long, 5-hour drive). Upon arrival, check-in was seamless. Our spaces were clean. Everything else was great - the location, close to the beach. The pool. Breakfast, dinners. Helping make recommendations on where to visit. Being patient with our kids. All of the staff were super friendly. I enjoyed my time. I would come back. Thank you everyone!

It was very cool and adventurous stay at Cabana Barlovento. The rooms are open - without windows, directly above the Caribic sea, so you can really feel it and also hear it! The surroundings is really beautiful - there are around 5 hotel buildings in this complex, restaurant, bar and the pool. The beach was also very nice for relax although the waves are mostly big and the streams very strong, so be careful. The food was very tasty and the staff was very friendly. We can recommend this place.

Our stay at villa playa Tayrona was absolutely amazing. The assistant manager (Thais) made sure we had everything we needed. We highly recommend the tubing trip down the river. The hotel has the most amazing view we have ever seen. Make sure you stop by the Sierra bar near the hotel for delicious tacos and cocktails with an unreal view. Bring enough cash, there are no ATM’s near Tayrona, only in Santa Marta. All in all, the best stay we had in a long time!

Amazing beach just 5 min walk. The sea is ruff like everywhere on that coast, so one should be very careful while going into water. The hotel garden is very nice. The owners are friendly. The food is good. It is a bit uphill, but you will be rewarded by great views they charge extra 15% for the card (but are accepting it, because some hotels dont)

I liked the view from our big balcony. The could see both, the river and the see. Our room was very spacious. Also our bed was huge and comfortable. Perfect location, very close to 3 diffrent beaches. Very nice and helpful staff. Tasty food. Good massages. We could use their App to order food, drinks or to check on anything that the hotel offers.

The hotel grounds and rooms are nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant food was delicious. Just a few minutes bus ride or motorcycle taxi to the main entrance of Tayrona Park. The pool was refreshing. In the other direction it's a 15 minute walk to a private beach (12,000 pesos), Los Angeles.

The staff was the best we saw in our 2-week Trip to Colombia (out of 6 hotels). The pool areas and private beach are perfect to relax and the access to Park Tayrona is relatively easy. Also our room was quite comfortable and had the perfect view to the ocean. It was really a great experience.
