my 2nd or 3rd return to Alcove bungalows . the bungalows are always clean and comfortable - fridge, coffee service, nice soap and shampoo in bathroom….. and with tasteful decoration, paint colors and lighting. I feel like I am in the movie ‘Moulin Rouge’. the 7 bungalows are lined up vertical to the sea, across the street. nice shaded garden views.

We really enjoyed staying at Alcove. Everyone there was super nice. As a bonus there was a possibility to refill water bottles, hammock and mosquito net. They also helped us to arrange a trip to Ang Thong.

Location is excellent, within a short scooter riding distance to everything I wanted to do on the west side of island (not the full moon side) The decor of the whole area is very tasteful. I went in late September, the flower pedals just happen to be falling from trees on property, lining the walking paths and creating a super cute fairytale atmosphere. Mosquito net inside the room is a plus. It was really nice hanging out on the balcony enjoying drinks we got from the 7-11 just long the street.

Loved my stay at Alcove. Everything was nice and clean. would definitely go back. The bungalows are very close to the beach and many nice restaurants and bars. I also loved that it was next door to an amazing yoga studio and every morning and afternoon I went for yoga classes. There is also a very nice restaurant/bar belonging to the same property and the vibes were great.

we had the best stay at the Alcove! the property is warm, cozy and inviting. The balcony with it’s hammock and little bench outside is the perfect spot to relax and watch the rain go by during the rainy season. the views on to the jungle of the Alcove’s “garden” was just calming and nourishing to look at. We stayed in hut 3 where a cat has claimed residency and she would greet us and ignite us for cuddles every day. the location was just the most perfect! the beach is just across the road with a handful of restaurants to choose from. what I liked was the bars and restaurant still owned by Thai people and run by locals. right to the left of the hotel you can get your washing done, book a taxi, rent a scooter and get a Thai massage. if you are into it, two doors down you can get your yoga fix and a 3’ walk away you will find a 7 eleven, ATM and a few places to eat. the most perfect stay we had, everything within 15’ away from us. will definitely visit there again.
