Best Western Jeju Hotel, hotel in Jeju

Best Western Jeju Hotel is located in New Jeju, 300 metres from Nohyeong 5-Way Intersection. The hotel houses a buffet restaurant, bar, banquet facilities, business centre and a 24-hour front desk.

Booking of this hotel - 22nd to 24th December 2023 - was made at the very last minute when our flight to Busan was cancelled due to inundated snowfalls. Since we were stranded in this lovely island of Jeju for another 2 days, I might as well made the best out of it. And I was glad that I booked this hotel. 1) They have connecting rooms so that our kids didn’t have to sleep separately from us. With extra bathroom and definitely more spacious than our previous hotel, we didn’t have to fight for toilet everytime and moving around was definitely easier. 2) Located just few minutes from Jeju International Airport, this hotel is located along the main road leading towards the airport. Lotte Duty Free is within walking distance; many nice restaurants nearby the hotel (I had one of the best pork ribs stew and marinated crabs); a rather big convenience store GS25 right next to the hotel; as well as a lovely cafe directly opposite the hotel - spot the green facade of Flat 4 Coffee & one hands on oppa manning the counter. 3) Starbucks on the ground floor (lobby) in the same building that opens early in the morning, perfect for us to catch a quick breakfast before flying off to Seoul. Coffee however, left too much to be desired.. still hopeless as I remember! 4) Staffs were trying their best to assist us. The receptionist even helped me to call for Jumbo taxi to the airport on our last day! Didn’t manage to take photos of the hotel and room as we were overwhelmed and exhausted that fateful day!

Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Jeju Ocean Front, hotel in Jeju

Boasting an on-site seasonal pool and four restaurants, Ramada Plaza Jeju is situated along the coast and overlooks the ocean. Free WiFi access is available.

We enjoyed the gym and pool facilities, but it is disappointed that we can only enter once a day and that a sauna came at an additional cost. The morning buffet was great because it opened early and had wide selection of vegetables and proteins that could accommodate a variety of diets. I love that it include a variety of asian cuisine including Korean.

Great parking spaces and the Sakura trees on the road in front of the hotel were so pretty. Bonus point. The staff said there’s no amenities and that there’s a convenient store on g floor. We hurriedly bought shampoos etc only to find out that they did have shampoos etc. Just not tooth brush.

Simply love Jeju!! Slow down our city life pace to enjoy the nature, food, people and all. Food is really fresh and awesome, filled up every meal and every restaurants that we stopped by to eat were just great. We will definitely come back again to visit more nature spots.

Jeju is a feast for the eyes!

Jeju is a feast for the eyes! We visited in winter and I thought it would be gloomy but I was wrong. During our visit, it's perfectly wintry cold under the sunny skies. We visited UNESCO designated heritages (We got to hike the snowy Hallasan!), museums, parks, beaches, and a ton of restaurants! The food was great! Personally, I think the food and admission fees to the places we visited are affordable and really worth our money. We enjoyed our stay in Jeju a lot that we wish we could've stayed there longer. We will surely be back!

We were visiting in the winter, it wasn't busy and we could...

We were visiting in the winter, it wasn't busy and we could get around without any issues. The only day which was more difficult was new years, understandable. The taxi's are very affordable, often it was cheaper to get a taxi than travel by bus (party of 3). We found everywhere to be clean and plenty of restrooms. The downside is that the travel information is often not up to date. We ended up booking a guide one day, if we hadn't two of the attractions we had planned to go to were closed (this was not posted in English anywhere) but the guide knew. One was the Manjanggul Cave, which will be closed for a year by the sounds of it. The KakaoMap app is handy to workout how to get about and really good for figuring out the buses. KakaoT for taxis, we tried Uber too but it was very hit and miss. There are a good variety of attractions for all ages. Generally speaking it didn't feel very accessability friendly. It is worth hiring a guide for a day, not only does it remove the stress of trying to figure everything out but they can also tell you much more about the place than you will get from a guide book.

Jeju Island is nothing short of amazing and beautiful.

Jeju Island is nothing short of amazing and beautiful. My time there felt like a dream, and the only regret I had was that my visit was too short to explore all that this stunning island has to offer. The experience and the feeling of being surrounded by such natural beauty and unique culture are truly one-of-a-kind. Every corner of Jeju Island seems to be a picturesque postcard waiting to be captured, from its lush landscapes to the breathtaking coastline. I was left in awe of the island's natural wonders, from the volcanic formations to the pristine beaches. The local culture and warmth of the people added an extra layer of charm to my trip. The island has a distinct character that is both inviting and captivating. As I left Jeju Island, I couldn't help but wish for an opportunity to return soon. It's a place that leaves an indelibl mark on your heart, and I can't wait to explore more of its wonders in the future."

The list of great things in Jeju is long.

The list of great things in Jeju is long. JeJu city is cool and worth a day or two. Take the city bus tours - one does the city and the other cruises around the coastal parts of the town. It's a hop on and off situation. Then get across to Seogwipo - inexpensive bus from the airport - and bask in the joy of being in this magical seaside town. Give it a few days. The food is amazing everywhere and in this fishing town the seafood is simply amazing. A rental car is a plus at this point as many of the best places need some transportation - do the National Park and the lava tubes as well as some of the more remote beaches. On an island that has 16 million visitors a year it's hard-to-impossible to get into a truly remote beach but then again it's a chance to enjoy people watching in a beautiful place- Koreans do selfies and groupies better than anyone and they appear to absolutely love it.

The hotel was close to bus station so easy to take buses around the island. Close to 24/7 convenience stores and restaurants! The staff was very nice and understood and spook English good, as my Korean was limited. Due to some issues with my booking (flight cancelled from Busan) I had to change dates and seems my booking got lost. They sorted it out on the spot with help of reservation team. I even got an upgrade due to the wait! Amazing service! Jeju is such a nice place and I wished that I stayed longer. But I will be back!

The host was the kindest most endearing human being. He was there for anything we needed, and went the extra mile to check in on us and made sure we had a good time on the compounds. I really recommend staying in this location for something special. Hotels are convenient and nice, but this stay will always remain as a special memory for me and my mum~ The countryside side of Jeju is just as, if not more, beautiful than the city views <33

Practical when you don’t have a car, just five minutes away from the Intercity Bus Terminal where you can go to travel around Jeju Island easily. Nothing special about the hotel, it’s clean and well managed and you have a really good price for a 4-days stay. I didn’t come during high touristic season but I think the lobby would be more lively with more travelers around. You can take a coffee or some beers with the others there!

The property knows exactly what the guests need: air freshener, loads of toilet paper, towels unlimited, hair dryer, etc. But what I like most about the place is its clean floors, like no dust sticked on my feet unlike in other hotels I had stayed in Korea before. It’s a quiet place too, I had a good sleep during my 3 nights there. Gonna stay at Yong Stay again when I revisit Jeju.

    - The hotel is located in the city center of Jeju Island. However, I wouldn't stay in the city center again, because there is not much to do or see. - The hotel had valet parking, which was a nice surprise. - The rooms are very spacious and the beds are comfortable. - Our stay was not great, but luckily the hotel was also not too expensive.
