The separate buildings were warm and the breakfast was good. It was a little way outside Vik but we had a car and that didn't matter to us.

From someone working in the industry: This is a fantastic hotel in Vik. You are only 1 min. away by foot from the restaurants & stores. This is the only "high-end" hotel directly in Vik I believe. It was a little surprising to find such a hotel there but I am glad we did.
Beautiful hotel, with a great breakfast!
Rooms are also beautifully designed and the beds are very comfortable.
I was positively surprised to find their shampoo/shower gel/ etc. to be from Loccitane! Did not expect that.
It's a fantastic hotel in Vik, nothing to complain about.
Great price-value-ratio!

The room was big and comfortable and quiet as there aren’t many rooms. The breakfast was complimentary and very tasty. The staff lady was very helpful.

Must try black crust pizza.
Must try black crust pizza. The lookout point at Dyrhólaey panoramic views, don't miss it and of course the Black Sand beach. To visit the crashed US plane, either we can walk for 3 hours (both ways) or take shuttle which will cost ISK3000 per person.

Vik is a picturesque gem tucked along the country's stunning south coast! Reynisfjara Beach is easily accessible, where black sand meets crashing waves with towering basalt columns as the backdrop. The wind can get too strong which makes a part of the beach dangerous (sneaker waves warning), but it is still well worth visiting. The town is charming with cozy cafes (try the black crust pizza!), the locals are warm and welcoming. This town is the perfect location to embrace the opportunity to disconnect and immerse yourself in Iceland's raw beauty.

We stayed in Vik for 3 days. Totally loved it.
We stayed in Vik for 3 days. Totally loved it. It is quite a small town, but has a big supermarket (kronan), a really great quality hiking clothes/supplies store, plus a number of cafes and places to eat. We recommend Sudur Vik Restaurant especially.
We did the Katla Track ice cave tour which was amazing and left from Vik!! Also recommend Icelandic Mountain Guides Snowmobile tour - meeting point 25 mins drive from Vik. Black Sand beach is great, as is local open air pool.
We stayed in the Vik hotel which is fabulous, but as we were there for three days, I would have preferred an apartment. The hotel also operates the Vik Apartments (which I hadn't realised before I booked) - they look really good.

We based our family of 5 in Vik to explore the southern coast over 3 nights with our rental car. We found it easier to have one base rather than a different hotel each night.
We visited the Skogafoss Waterfall, Black Sand Beach, YODA caves, gorge hike, Glacier walk at Skaftafell and then onto the Glacier lagoon and Diamond Beach.
We didn’t eat out as it was expensive for what appeared average food so we went to the local supermarket and cooked back at our self catered apartment.
Vik offers lots of adventure based companies who organise tour and expeditions.
The host and location were what I liked the most about the property. Perfect location and a walk to everything in Vik! This was one of my favorite stays in all of Iceland! Everything was clean, cozy and accommodating. Breakfast was great and we were even able to take some for lunch. She was so informative and gave us great information for our adventuring! Beds were comfy. View of The beach, Great shower! I just can not say enough great things about this stay!!!! Thank you Kozy Vik for making my stay in VIK one of my favorites!
This is a beautiful little apartment, really quiet and remote area which would be perfect for seeing northern lights (if forecast). The apartment itself was lovely, plenty room for cooking and space to store luggage, dirty boots and jackets etc. And the bed is big and comfortable. It’s the perfect location for traveling the south coast, and only 10 min drive from Vìk. Hosts were great, always quick to respond to messages. If we visit Iceland again, we would definitely stay again!
Didn't realize that the hotel was a short drive outside of town but it had a lot of amenities that you didn't need to go anywhere including a lively bar and a hot tub--a great way to meet other travelers. The breakfast buffet was great with some hot items. Also a great dinner buffet if you didn't want to drive into town. Considering how expensive food is in Iceland, this was a good deal and you won't leave dinner hungry!
The location was quiet and pretty on the way to black sand beach and just outside of Vik. The Barn was beautiful, nice big showers and separate sink area and bathrooms. Really pretty and clean. A couple stoves to use and a few fridges, spacious enough. Would definitely recommend to anyone going to Iceland in the Vik area.
Super clean and comfortable apartment just on the other side of the street of the local supermarket. Ideal location for a lot of spots close to Vik. The best bedding while we were in Iceland. Even a Nespresso with capsules has been in the apartment.
This is a lovely hotel, with a great staff. The bartender was the best-he introduced us to different Icelandic gins and made great drinks. We also enjoyed the food at the restaurant. Everything here was top-notch, and I highly recommend it.
A very spacious and clean room. The hotel is located in the beautiful country side just off the main road outside Vik. Breakfast is very good. The staff is very welcoming. A good stop over site as one is visiting the south of Iceland.
Friendly greeting upon arrival. The room was very comfy, larger than many others in which we stayed during our vacation in Iceland. More choices in the breakfast buffet than at other hotels. And a cool espresso-kafe-cappucino machine!
Lovely hotel, bright with large windows and lovely view overlooking the landscape of southern Iceland. Great place to stay close to Vik and regional sites. Delicious breakfast, comfortable rooms, nicely decorated & very welcoming.
Nice view but not excactly a "beach" view.
Exellenct location, just a few minutes drive from Vik.
This is the best room we stayed in Iceland!
Well equipped kitchen with all the essential bit like salt and pepper etc.
Lovely location close to Vik. The price was fair compared to the usual Icelandic standard. Everything was clean, we had a warm welcome from the hosts, and a nice breakfast in the morning (basic, but good)
Breakfast was slightly better than most hotels we stayed at in Iceland but still average. The location was convenient. Checkin was easy and smooth. The parking lot was nearly full when we visited.
Basic but for Iceland affordable
Keep in mind Iceland is very very expensive
This hotel would be 100 a night at home
Set your expectations. Clean, friendly decent and a good breakfast
The property location is great! The dinners in the restaurant were the best we had in our whole trip in Iceland! The restaurant staff was friendly and very attentive.
Perfect location for an overnight stay in Vik. Nice location next to some stores. Dont expect too much, it covers the basics you need on a round trip in Iceland.
spectacular views and room. we cooked breakfast there and were delighted with the quality of cookware. slept well in an actual king bed. best shower in Iceland.
