This place is awesome. Great concept and ran superbly. The guests here too were amazing during my stay. Met some great people and made friends easily. A very calm, quiet and relaxing place to escape the chaos of canguu/seminyak Will be my go to place and canguu.

Company information

Serenity Eco Guesthouse & Yoga is a family-owned business located in Canggu, Bali. Since its conception in 2000, Serenity has pioneered sustainable growth, where permaculture, yoga, eating healthy and eco-friendly accommodation play a key role in our everyday business. The founders are French-born entrepreneur Daniel Chieppa and his Balinese wife Yatna whom he met on the island. Their son, Krishna, was brought into the family business years later.

Property information

Beginning as a family home in Canggu, Bali, Serenity was built into an Eco Guesthouse. We recycle most of our rubbish and reuse our waste water for our plants. We do not use chemical pesticide or fertilizer in our garden. Relax by our pool, join any of the 10 daily yoga classes, stroll through our permaculture garden, have a massage on-site or meditate in our specialized meditation room Official Vipassana meditation room as taught by S.N. Goenka. Group sitting is held every Wednesday from 6.30-7.30pm but only for old students who have done a 10-day Vipassana Meditation course. Vipassana, which means to see things as they really are, is one of India's most ancient techniques of meditation. It was taught in India more than 2500 years ago as a universal remedy for universal ills.
