Stellar Sochi
Host of the 2014 Winter Olympics, the city of Sochi sits where the Caucasus Mountains connects with the Black Sea. This is why a destination known for its beach resorts was able to host a winter sports event.
Because Sochi is far more popular in summer, where visitors can go swimming in the warm sea during the day and party it up at night. While there are a couple of museums in the city, those escaping the beaches should instead head into the surrounding nature to see waterfalls.
