Savannah, Georgia is located on the east coast of USA. It attracts millions of tourists yearly thanks to its cobblestone streets, beautiful architecture, the oldest synagogue in America, and numerous parks.
Savannah is the largest port in the state of Georgia. It stands on the Savannah river and has 5 canals.
Points of interest include Tybee Island (also knowns as Savannah beach), a lighthouse on the island, and the shrimping village of Thunderbolt. It’s ideal for a romantic escape and a family vacation.
If you are planning to go to the oldest city of the state of Georgia any time soon, let me give you some hotel recommendations.

Located on the Liberty Street, a stones throw away from the Civic Center and the historic district, Hilton Savannah DeSoto is a great choice for both business travelers and families. Spacious elegantly decorated rooms are all equipped with a hairdryer, flat screen TV, and a safe. Check the rates here.

As the name suggests, Savannah Marriott has amazing views of the riverfront. East Bay Inn
The rooms of the East Bay Inn are exclusively decorated in a charming old style. I absolutely fell in love with it just from the pictures! No wonder why this hotel has such excellent reviews. Amenities include a continental breakfast at their onsite restaurant, complimentary water bottles, free newspapers delivered to your room, and a nightly reception for guests that include wine and cheese hors d’oeuvres.
The rates for the hotel of this caliber is more than affordable, see your dates here.
Kahoe House is located in a home that was built in 1892 and combines historic charm with modern necessities. Unlike many hotels, the Kehoe House’s amenities are very low key and include parlors to mingle with other guests, a music room with a piano, and a verandah outside where you can relax. Made to order breakfasts with coffee as well as wine and hors d’oeuvres are included in your stay as well.
The rates vary from the type of room, but overall, are quite affordable.
The Marshall House
If you are a luxury traveler, The Marshal House will tick all the boxes. Complimentary wine and cheese is offered to all the guests in the library of the hotel. Tastefully decorated rooms include a flat screen TV, high-speed internet, cozy bathrobes, and a mini-fridge. A deluxe continental breakfast is also included in your stay. There is also an amazing restaurant and a lounge bar, where you can relax and sip a drink.
The hotel is located just a couple of minutes away from the Oglethorpe Square, and the Davenport House Museum. I recommend taking a Savannah Belle Walking Tour from there to learn the history of this beautiful city.
I hope you enjoyed my little introduction to the city and my hotel recommendations will help you choose from the variety of hotels the city has to offer.
